AI & Blockchain Summit (AIBC Summit)

The AIBC Summit, produced by SiGMA Group, based in Malta, is now a truly world class event taking place in both Malta and Manila, Philippines.

The AIBC Summit brings together key brands and individuals from the converging sectors of AI, blockchain, IoT, Quantum Tech, and other emerging technologies to discuss and shape the future.  Combining an expo floor for world-class exhibitors, a start-up village for new businesses, and a hugely popular conferences and workshops agenda, the AIBC Summit shines a light on the world of the future.

With a show in Malta, and in 2020 also in Manila, the Philippines, AIBC Summit now takes place twice a year. It is one of the leading events globally for blockchain, AI, crypto, and other emerging technologies, and gathers together  an elite selection of delegates, policy makers and thought leaders from across the globe. Such international support and interest has helped propel AIBC Summit into becoming a favourite on the world circuit for emerging tech conferences and expos.

Manila AIBC Summit 2020

SiGMA Group has announced the dates for two shows in Manila for 2020, combined under one roof to ignite the symbiotic opportunities for businesses in each sector of iGaming, AI, blockchain, and emerging technologies. SiGMA Manila and Manila AIBC Summit will take place June 8th-9th 2020 at the SMX Convention Centre, Manila.

The Group’s move eastwards capitalises on the strong interest in Asia for blockchain and emerging technologies, and the growing value there for companies looking to move into up-and-coming markets. As Asia leads the way in merging new blockchain and AI technologies with the global iGaming sector,  SiGMA Group is strengthening trade ties with the jurisdictions in the region to facilitate fresh business opportunities for European companies.

Malta AIBC Summit 2020

Malta AIBC Summit 2020 will take place November 18th – 19th, 2020 at the Malta Fairs and Conventions Centre in Ta’ Qali. Positioned at the cutting edge of a very competitive industry, the event has evolved since 2018 into one of the world’s leading events for blockchain and emerging tech, operating on both a European and world stage.  In 2019, Malta AIBC Summit welcomed over 12,000 attendees from over 80 countries, and in 2020 this favourite in the global emerging technology event calendar is set to continue growing.

History of AIBC Summit

Malta AIBC Summit launched in November 2018, welcoming more than 8,500 attendees through its doors.   In 2019, the show solidified its position as a world leading event in the sectors of AI, blockchain, crypto, and other emerging technologies, with one show in May welcoming 5,500 delegates, and another in November welcoming 6,500 attendees.

Following a thaw of the crypto winter in the spring of 2019, the May edition of AIBC summit delivered some unmissable keynotes and panels, prompting debate on the sector’s flourishing business opportunities. VIP speakers included Brock Pierce, Ben Goertzel, Larry Sanger, Patrick Chang, and Noel Sharkey to name but a few, all sharing valuable insights and enriching the audience in the process.  In one notable verbal joust, Roger Ver took on Tone Vays in a BTC vs BTC Cash showdown.

With solid support from the Maltese government, the AIBC summit has been the launchpad for legislation supporting the growth of Malta as the Blockchain Island.  In both November 2018 and May 2019, the Hon. Joseph Muscat, Prime Minister of Malta reinforced the government’s support for the sector in his keynote speech. Other key ministers from the Maltese government have also appeared at the summit with support and insights for attending brands and individuals.

Eman Pulis, Founder of Malta AIBC Summit and CEO of SiGMA Group, sums up the expo’s remit: “We’re staying a step ahead, helping the government bring all these great minds to Malta, fueling the Maltese economy by supporting the tech ecosystem. There’s plenty of incentives for AI and Blockchain companies to relocate to Malta, so what better forum than a summit like this to bring everyone together. I think it’s safe to assume it’s the largest show in its category worldwide so far in 2019.”
