What is Bitcoin Private

Bitcoin Private is a fork-merge of Bitcoin and Zclassic. Essentially, BTC and ZCL were co-forked into Bitcoin Private (BTCP). Bitcoin Private is a combination of transparent and shielded transactions. Bitcoin Private will utilize a larger block size (2 MB), a shorter block time (2.5 min), and a ASIC-resistant PoW mining algorithm called Equihash. A Voluntary Miner Contribution Program was launched in order to create a treasury for maintenance and development of Bitcoin Private.

Bitcoin Private coins were distributed on a 1:1 basis to BTC and ZCL holders.
