Mission

The mission of the Bookmap project is to improve the service market and the sale-andpurchase market of used vehicles. For this purpose, we have joined forces with over 30 car centres and market leaders like Toyota, leveraging on the latest advances in M2M communications, distributed ledgers and the Internet of Things. We see Bookmap as a global company with flexible policy that can meet the needs of many people and companies in the automotive business. The values that we serve are trust, simplicity and convenience.

Goals

1. To win the trust of car owners in car sale-and-purchase transactions on the secondary market by creating of reliable car history on blockchain.

2. To simplify the work of automotive service centres. A mechanic will always be able to acquire correct history of a car that needs maintenance or repair.

3. To make vehicle care easily accessible. Bookmap will aggregate merchants and their services in a single platform providing booking simplicity, saving significant amount of time for every driver.

4. To create a convenient tool for effective business operations for car service providers in the form of a multifunctional CRM system based on Bookmap.

5. To improve the quality of service in car service stations owing to introduction of the rating and feedback system.

Such interventions on the automotive market and on the sale-and-purchase market of used vehicles will considerably change it for the better. A new paradigm will be formed: more trust, safety, simplicity and convenience.

Next, all the information collected needs to be cross-checked with alternative sources (information about car maintenance can be kept not only by a car owner but also in a service centre database), collected and safely stored in the Hyperledger network.

To execute these ambitious goals, we have developed a strategic plan consisting of several phases:

1. collecting and saving vehicle information;

2. verification and validation of the received data;

3. systematization and safekeeping of data;

4. cross-integrations and data transmission.

Vehicle history cannot be collected only once, and it is necessary to set up a defined system that will automatically register updated information in a convenient and timely matter. Besides, the users themselves must be interested in sharing their car data. Therefore, the system must provide all participants with real benefits or convenience.

Based on the data of a survey carried out among car owners, we have revealed demand for a single tool for searching service centres, car washes, tyre services, tow trucks, insurance services, urgent repair services, etc.

It turned out that at the moment there is no such service on the market that will allow a car owner to conveniently and most importantly quickly book a car service, let alone to work globally rather than within one city. Hence the main focus of the Bookmap team is to create an accessible and reliable aggregator for booking services and car maintenance with global market in sight.

We will create a platform that will meet the needs of car owners and service centres while also serving global change towards transparency and trust.
