What is Amalgam

Amalgam index is equal weighted to smooth out unsystematic risk events, granting less control to digital assets and cryptocurrencies with larger market capitalizations over assets with mid-sized market capitalizations.

Each transaction on CoreVault that takes place on behalf of the customer will use the ShapeShift API to purchase AMG tokens, allowing customers to convert them into a cryptocurrency or fiat currency token of their own choosing.

Amalgam will be available for use through peer-to-peer payment platforms such as Apple Pay, Android Pay and Samsung Pay. The AmalgamPay Point-of-Sale system will also be made available to merchants for use either alongside or instead of their current POS systems.
