What is Fluent

The fusion of three key components forms the bedrock of Fluent's architecture:

  • Rollup Technology
Fluent leverages rollup technology to remove throughput and cost constraints, enabling developers to build high-performance applications without worrying about scalability issues.
  • WASM Execution
By adopting WebAssembly (WASM) execution, Fluent significantly lowers the learning curve for developers. This allows them to utilize their existing knowledge and skills to build dApps, opening doors for a broader developer community to participate in Web3.
  • EVM Compatibility
Fluent ensures seamless end-user adoption by maintaining compatibility with Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM) standards to capitalize on its network effects. This way, existing Ethereum developers can leverage their expertise while exploring new possibilities through Fluent's advanced features.

The goal for Fluent is simple: Enable every developer to build scalable apps on Ethereum.

Think of Fluent as a translator between developers and Ethereum’s Infinite Garden. Developers should be able to step into the garden with little more than their core application knowledge - be it their app’s throughput needs or the programming language they know best.

Fluent’s job is to seamlessly translate their knowledge into the blockchain context. To make Ethereum speak their language.

Fluent Roadmap

1
Short-term
  • Implement and demonstrate the decided set of opcodes in zkWASM VM
2
Mid-term
  • Extend and/or improve the design with the support of all opcodes
  • Design and implement the smart contracts for EVM support
3
Long-term
  • Design and implement the economics of the zkWASM solution
  • Design and implement an SDK for deploying smart contracts and monitoring/debugging services for traces
  • Design and implement a zkWASM explorer and a dashboard
  • Research/design and implement (or use the existing solutions) SNARK aggregation for batch proofs
  • Hardware CPU/GPU acceleration for proof generation
