What is Infinite 8

Infinite 8 is software that is designed to facilitate data protection and ensure secure data storage. The solution is supposed to allow users to shrink data on their device prior uploading it, reducing bandwidth and storage space requirements. The users will also be able to control their data accessibility. The system will consist of three core elements: Storage Agents, Storage Points, and Storage Controllers.

The ecosystem will employ four tokens. Two security tokens (INF8V and INF8S) will allow investors to exercise their rights. A utility token (INF-8) will enable the application features. A stable coin (INF8X) will facilitate payments.

Infinite 8 dApp is made of three different distributed components, which are complemented by a centralized core service. The reason for such a mix is the general poor transactional performance of the blockchain distributed ledger technology when it comes to supporting a large number of transactions, when compared to a centralized database.

Users of the Infinite 8 technology which are willing to take advantage of Community based services are becoming Community Members, thanks to the dApp.

Using the centralized core service, they can publish their requests for distributed services, or offer themselves such services. The centralized core services match services requests with services offers, and the price of the services is deposited in escrow in a Smart Contract. Data to be stored is then transferred to recipients using the peer to peer data transfer component. Information pertaining to this data transaction is exchanged on the blockchain, and, once the storage, restore or sharing operation processing is fully performed, the payment is released from the Smart Contract.

Key information related to the behavior of participants, both in terms of performance of transactions, respect of SLAs and general activity are recorded overtime by the centralized core services. This automated metrics, in combination with measurement of requests issuing users satisfaction, are generating a reputation score for each member.

Achieving a high score gives access to more and more opportunities to provide services, achieving a virtuous cycle. Frequent submission of requests gives access to points, under the model of frequent flyer miles, which in turn gives access to rewards, originally as discounts on the transaction fees (gamification is in the pipe).
