What is ioeX

ioeX is a decentralized peer-to-peer network built on top of Elastos. The developers claim their network will combine the internet, IoT and blockchain solutions. Being a basic communication framework and development interface, ioeX does not have any application properties. For example, ioeX will be able to transfer software update packages to seed peer nodes and then use other nodes for mass distribution.

The ioeX bootstrap and peer nodes will provide relay functions and temporary storage. The nodes will be rewarded with ioeX coins, which will also be required to access the network services.

ioeX Roadmap

2018-Aug

- Release carrier network SDK basic version of app/service (one-to-one and one-to-many messaging and file transmission).

September 2018

- Introduce carrier network functions to AI smart speaker local and remote control programs.

October 2018

- Introduce carrier network functions to IoT box local and remote control programs.

December 2018

- Carrier network incorporates blockchain functions and rewards carrier network nodes. Test version release delayed to 2019-Jan. DPoS chain to be self-developed by the ioeX team to replace the originally referenced Elastos side chain program;
- Alpha version of the digital wallet and blockchain browser (testnet version12);
- Online operation of the business system for releasing IOEX coins and executing a lock-up program;
- Early activation of carrier network content addressing development project (replacement for original 2019-Jan IPFS development plan).

January 2019

- Beta version of digital wallet and blockchain browser (official blockchain version will be released for the business system13 and ioeX App);
- Alpha version of carrier network online upgrade function;
- Lay out of bootstrap and peer nodes at various locations;
- Beta versions of ioeX Device App and SDK. Initial construction of new peer nodes using existing smart products from the consumer end;
- Business system, node product purchasing function, IOEX point transfer function;
- DPoS testnet (non-smart contract version); Activation of technical community building activities.

February 2019

- Operation of beta version of carrier network online upgrade function;
