Personal Wager aims to create a globally accessible esports player to player (P2P) wagering system, allowing players in any country to wager on their own skill with players at home or in any other country. In the near future, with an expansion into an AI to AI (A2A) system through the acquisition key gaming assets, Personal Wager expects to be the de-facto standard for human vs human, AI vs AI, and human vs AI wagering.

What is Personal Wager

The eSports Problem

The eSports market is large and growing larger as hundreds of millions of gamers are all trying to be drafted in for the equivalent of the Major League Sports Teams. Unfortunately, most of these players do not have a chance to be discovered, as they do not have any unbiased, third-party way to show their scores, nor do they have any way to earn money during their “training”. Most of these players have other obligations to attend to, which makes it di"cult to improve on their skills and making a living at the same time.

The Personal Wager Solution

Personal Wager allows the millions of online gamers to win not just bragging rights and stats. Gamers are able to acquire PWON tokens by wagering against other gamers, plus every gamer’s “statistical report card” is stored on the Blockchain and publicly accessible to confirm the player’s global standings. So, while the 10 lucky players (two teams of five) are able to sit front-and-center in the stadium and play for millions of dollars in prize money, the tens of thousands of fans watching live, and the millions who are watching online are now also able to earn PWON tokens by playing - while showing off their skills to the team owners.

Personal Wager is more than just a token. It’s a technology poised to disrupt the entire eSports wagering industry — and a revolution in the design of digital currency economies. Personal Wager pairs cutting-edge blockchain technology with a new take on an industry desperately in need of simplification and expansion. Traditional esports wagering requires participants to find a way to place wagers in a safe and secure manner. This cannot be done without a trusted third-party like Personal Wager which provides scheduling, escrow and arbitration as opposed to entrusting valuable assets to unknown individuals and organizations constrained by unpredictable regulations, often in jurisdictions that criminalize the core practice.
