Blockchain Testament is an application designed for independent posthumous cryptocurrency transfer, based on smart contract technology and voting mechanism. Our tool is implemented as the ability to create a fully decentralised Will that ensures that assets are transferred upon the death of the Testator to the individuals to whom he or she bequeaths those assets. The foundation of the project is DAO (Decentralised Autonomous Organization), which allows the Testator to appoint trusted persons responsible for the execution of his Will, but not interested in receiving the Crypto Heritage
We believe that in a dynamic digital world, cryptoassets are becoming an important part of people's lives. Every day, people around the world are investing more and more money in such assets. At the same time, due to the specifics of the blockchain network, all accumulated cryptocurrency becomes unavailable forever if the cryptowallet password is lost. According to the latest data, about 20% of the bitcoins already mined (18.5 million coins) are in wallets whose passwords have been irretrievably lost. Most of these assets belonged to people who did not have time to pass their cryptocurrency wallet details to their loved ones during their lifetime.
