Terra is price-pegged to a basket of currencies (U.S. dollar, Euro, Renminbi, Japanese yen, British pound). Later on, the basket will include services and goods, e.g. gold, corn, and timber. The Terra protocol will employ the following mechanisms to stabilize the price: price estimation via deposit holder vote, maintenance of a stability reserve comprised of user deposits with various rewards to ensure the system is over-reserved (Luna tokens, reserve deposits, variable transaction fees), money supply expansion and contraction (contraction by reserve and expansion through fiscal spending).
