What is Smoke Network

Smoke Network is a decentralized immutable blockchain-based social network, that offers cannabis users resistance to censorship by governments and institutions. This creates an environment where cannabis content producers can post their content and build a base of followers without the risk of losing their work due to bureaucratic restrictions.Front-end DApps running on the blockchain, such as Smoke.io, have some control over the content they display, but they have no control over the actual data.

On Smoke Network, users are rewarded in SMOKE based on the number and quality of upvotes that their content receives on the network. The company's profile-scoring algorithm calculates the rewards for users based on the amount of SMOKE that they own on the network, as well as the authority of the user based on the quality of their own followers and content. Inflation is used to control the rate of new SMOKE per annum and all new SMOKE created is allocated to users.

Smoke Network utiizes a pseudo-anonymous structure, which allows to mitigate some of the user reservations traditionally associated with the legal cannabis market.

All the content on Smoke Network is curated manually by the users, who are rewarded with SMOKE for their curating efforts.
