What is Biotron

• Biotron is a blockchain-based platform designed for personal data analysis.
• Biotron aims to create a solution that would help individual users to control and monetize their personal data. The Biotron team claim that their platform has been designed to provide meaningful insights for businesses engaged in the study of behavior and data analytics.
• Biotron foresees two types of users: individuals (data producers) and customers (data consumers). The data producers will be able to control their data flow and availability so that the data consumers could make use of it in their research.
• The Biotron team plan to develop mobile and web apps, as well as browser extensions. The data producers will use these Biotron tools to control their data and track earnings info. The data consumers will request raw data or analytics through the Biotron web apps and APIs.
• The Biotron platform will be using an ERC20 utility token (BTRN).  It will enable transactions between data providers and consumers. The Biotron token will also be used for transaction fees and miner rewards.
• The Biotron testnet is scheduled for September 2018.
