BASE airdrop (retrodrop): guideline activities

The project has now launched its Base App, which you can download on your phone, register, start using its features, and participate in the rewarding campaign Base Holiday Reward with a prize pool of $2,000,000.

Base Holiday Reward Promotion is a festive rewarding campaign from Base App. Users earn points and then receive a reward in $USDC from the total prize pool of $2 million.

How to earn points:

• Trading volume > $1: +1 point
• Inviting friends: +1 point per friend

To be eligible for rewards, you must hold at least $5 in your Base App wallet by the end of the campaign.

✅What to do:

1. Install the Base App on your smartphone via this link.
2. Create an account by entering your email and confirming the code from it (you can also log in via a seed phrase from Farcaster).
3. Complete registration in the app by following the instructions.
4. Go to the "Wallet" tab and click "Invite and earn".
5. Verify your account and complete registration (link your Twitter, Instagram, and other social networks).
6. Fund your internal Base App wallet with > $5.
7. Maintain a balance in the app > $5 and trade various tokens with a volume > $1.
8. Make posts in the app and invite friends.

Recently, I talked about Guild Base, where we completed tasks and earned roles.

Now, Base has launched Guild v2, featuring new tasks and roles for users to claim.

✅What to do:

1. Go to Discord and complete the verification process.
2. Visit Guild and connect your EVM wallet.
3. Click “Join Guild” to enter the community.
4. Complete the available tasks across all four tabs.

Guild v2 has just launched, so some tasks may not work correctly yet. It’s recommended to go through all the tabs and claim the roles for the social tasks. If any role doesn’t claim properly — just try again later.

Try to complete as many tasks as possible! There are no strict criteria yet for how Base will distribute the airdrop, but lately, many projects have prioritized Discord roles earned through specific actions.

The Base team recently announced their own token (I mentioned it in a previous post).

Now is the perfect time to complete a few key activities in the network and grab roles in Guild, which the project may consider when distributing the airdrop. These roles are still quite rare, and since more and more projects reward users for roles, it’s worth securing them early

✅What to do:

1. Join Guild:

• Join the Discord and pass verification.
• Go to Guild and connect your EVM wallet.
• Click “Join Guild” to enter.

2. Get roles on the main page:

• Onchain: make any transaction in the network.
• Based and Onchain: buy a Base domain for 0.001 $ETH.
• Based Influencer: add base.eth to your username on X or Warpcast.
• Coinbase Onchain Verified: verify through Coinbase.
• Based Developer: follow Base Build on X(Twitter).
• Return to Guild and check your tasks.

3. Get roles on Based Onchain:

• Follow Base on X(Twitter).
• Follow Base on Farcaster.
• Make 1 / 10 / 100 / 1000 transactions in the network (each milestone unlocks a role).
• Hold 100 $USDC or 1 #cbBTC on Base (each grants a role).
• Verify on Guild by clicking the arrows.

4. Get roles on Based Developers:

• Go to Owlto and deploy 5 contracts on Base.
• Verify on Guild by clicking the arrows.

During the latest AMA session, Jesse Pollak (creator of Base) let slip that the team is “exploring the possibility of launching a token.”

At the same time, Base updated its social media description:

"A global economy built by all of us. Built on Ethereum, built on the Superchain. Base is beginning to explore a network token"

Right now, it’s all still in the “we’re thinking about it” stage — no timelines, no tokenomics, no governance mechanics.

But the very fact that Coinbase is considering launching a token for its L2 network is already a strong signal.
