Towns airdrop (retrodrop): guideline activities

We’ve been farming this airdrop for a while, and yesterday we finally checked our allocation.

Now, the project has opened the $TOWNS airdrop claim, and we can collect our rewards.

✅How to Claim the Airdrop:

1. Go to the claim link and log in to your Towns account
2. Sign in via the social network you used to register
3. Claim your airdrop—make sure to uncheck the box, or your tokens will be staked

The airdrop is sent to your internal Towns wallet, and you’ll need a small amount of ETH on Base for gas.

If you don’t claim immediately and instead stake for 30 days, you’ll get 50% more tokens afterward.

A new feature has been added to Towns – you can now delegate your Town to a node operator.

✅Steps to delegate:

• In the Towns app, create your Town if you haven’t already.
• Open your Town and click “Delegate to a Node” on the left.
• Choose an operator and delegate.

What does delegation do?

• Your Town members can earn staking rewards and receive exclusive badges.

If you’re actively working with the project, this is a must-do task, especially with the second snapshot coming soon.

Towns is a SocialFi-platform for Web3 (analog of Discord) with $25.5 mln investments.

The project team has announced the launch of the Towns points system, which you can get for joining channels, spending $ETH, as well as for clicks on the “beaver”.

For every 0.00001 $ETH you will get 1 point, but the cost of entering a channel can exceed this value, so you can get a lot of points for one entry.

3. Refill the balance on the platform (you need deposit ETH to the internal wallet in the Base network).
4. Join paid channels
5. Get active in chats
6. Click on the beaver once every 24 hours.
