These investors sponsor eSports teams and tournaments as a platform to advertise their brands and products. In addition, some of the most well-known basketball franchises in the NBA such as the Golden State Warriors, Cleveland Cavaliers, and the Houston Rockets have also entered the eSports scene by creating their own League of Legends teams and competing in the North American League of Legends Championship Series.
