What is SmartPesa
The SmartPesa Credible platform offers a loan marketplace for SMEs, banks, MFIs, peer-to-peer and alternative lenders. Business credit data is owned by the merchants themselves on the SmartPesa Credible blockchain platform and merchants receive PESA tokens from third parties for accessing their data. Merchants are also incentivised to increase the quality and volume of their own data. The SmartPesa Credible credit engine computes credit scores on all merchants. Credit bureaus, lenders and trade partners can filter, search and acquire data in exchange for tokens. All transactions on the SmartPesa Credible platform take place in SmartPesa Credible Tokens (PESA).
