What is LandX

LandX is the perpetual commodity vaults protocol. Perpetual vaults provide investors an inflation hedged return backed by a legal contract secured on underlying farmland. LandX makes perpetual vaults available as a liquid digital asset — xToken, offering uncorrelated, inflation-hedged diversification.

LandX provides capital to real-world farmers in exchange for a legal share of their crop in perpetuity. The crop share is then represented by an ERC20 tokenized perpetual vault (xToken). Investors can purchase crop-specific xTokens and receive daily yields in USDC.

xTokens are liquid digital assets backed by real-world commodities that provide a hedge against inflation and asymmetric upside exposure to commodities. Rather than the market inflating the price of monkey JPEGs, xTokens’ APR is determined by the market value of the commodity and investors’ pricing of the vault.

LNDX is the governance token of the LandX DAO. While xTokens are for commodities, LandX tokens are used to govern and manage the LandX Protocol. LNDX tokens are used to vote on governance decisions and are needed to become a farmland validator for the protocol.
