What is REP

REP is a decentralized reputation protocol designed to serve as the missing trust layer for the AI-driven internet. The project introduces "Liquid Reputation" — a dynamic, contextual trust score built from both onchain economic activity and offchain social signals, rather than a static, platform-locked rating. REP is chain-agnostic and portable, allowing users to carry a unified reputation profile across different blockchains and applications instead of rebuilding trust from scratch on every new platform.

A key focus of the project is preparing for a future where AI agents operate as first-class economic participants alongside humans. REP aims to give every agent — human or AI — a verifiable identity that earns or loses reputation through transparent, observable actions, helping systems and users distinguish trustworthy actors from malicious bots.
