What is Sacred Waste

Sacred Waste is a multi-chain Proof-of-Burn protocol that allows users to permanently destroy worthless or "dead" tokens, NFTs, and other assets rotting in their crypto wallets. Users ceremonially send these assets into The Pit, where they are burned forever with no recovery possible.

In return, participants earn WastePoints during the current pre-launch phase known as The Great Burn. The project emphasizes ritual and purification, turning "trash into treasure" through sacrifice and community involvement. A Hot or Not voting system lets the community decide if burned assets deserve "resurrection" via auctions, with proceeds potentially shared among early sacrificers.

The ecosystem includes the limited 444 Prophets NFT collection for perks and governance, the $444STR strategy token for floor support, and the upcoming main $WASTE protocol token (21 billion supply). Over 28,000 offerings have already been sacrificed as of mid-March 2026, highlighting growing participation. It's framed as a therapeutic, gamified ritual for cleaning up wallets while positioning users for future rewards in a mythology-driven community centered around the deity Detritus.
