What is Composable Finance

The complete infrastructure for cross-chain smart contracts, applications, and modular functionality. The Cross-Chain Virtual Machine functions as a system of cross-chain smart contracts with a single, developer-friendly interface designed to usher in applications that can interact with the chains connected to our ecosystem.

Composable focuses on a cross-chain, cross-layer liquidity layer for sharded applications. Composable takes this notion a step further by realizing that there is a sharding of functionality between each ecosystem; for instance, most ecosystems have their lending protocols. Our vision is thus to abstract away inter-ecosystem decision-making. It maximizes users’ and developers’ outcomes based on their unique goals. We are creating a communication protocol to accomplish this function, utilizing our parachain as a finality layer. The protocol will connect L2s to the Polkadot and Kusama ecosystems and the Cosmos Ecosystem through the Inter-Blockchain Communication protocol (IBC) to the Polkadot and Kusama ecosystems. We will then include other ecosystems, such as Algorand, Solana, and more.

LAYR is the governance token for the entire Composable ecosystem, facilitating staking and transactions. This token will play a crucial role in the operations of Composable, acting as both a capital and consumable asset. Specific uses include:
